As the largest city and growth engine of Scandinavia, Stockholm
is considered a leader in adopting new technologies and setting
new consumer trends. With the highest employment rate in
Sweden, Stockholm acts as a financial engine for the whole
region. Swedish retail sales are the strongest in Western Europe
with an average growth rate of 4%/year. Remarkable is also that the Swedish sales growth in the fashion segment has increased by 75% during the last ten years. Retail sales stands for
50% of the total household consumption in Sweden. Sweden
is one of the most competitive economies in the world and the
most competitive in EU2
